Overture

Dead man coughing and shakin’ his head
says the design is flawed
The wind it breaks the back of the trees
and leaves all applaud
Ooo metal river gonna swallow us up
Bring water and I’ll drown you in song
But the band is a pumping, the overture is thumping
and we’re all just dancing along
O sweet Mama won’t you sing that tune
O Mama won’t you sing it for me?
Dead man’s walkin’ and he’s shakin’ his head
He coughs like a falling tree
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
Fear cuts without using a blade
but we were all just standing around
When the white flash came we were all looking up
but the wise man was looking down
Pictures tell stories in a one-sided frame
and they frame the story well
But I can tell you from being right there
it was scarier than hell
O sweet Mama won’t you sing that tune
O Mama won’t you sing it for me?
We were all staring up at the big wide blue
and then a mushroom was charging me
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
It’s blowing up
and I’m falling down
Dead man coughing and shakin’ his head
says no point in getting in line
Give me one reason you’ll never survive
and I’ll give you nine
Ooo metal river gonna swallow us up
Bring water and I’ll drown you in song
But the band is a pumping, the overture is thumping
and we’re all just dancing along
Ha Ha!
Ooo pretty baby won’t you sing that tune
Keep shaking your tambourine
If your sweet boogie is the last thing I know
that might be alright with me
